Part 5:  The End of Death

16.  What did Jesus promise His followers?
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”  John 14:2-3
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him….For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”  1 Thessalonians 4:14, 16-17  (For further study see Mark 13:26-27 and Matthew 24:30-31)

17.  Will the dead ever live again?
“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”  John 5:28-29
“I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.”  Hosea 13:14  (For further study see Ezekiel 37:13 and Daniel 12:2)

Note:  God knows you.  He created you. He has counted the number of hairs on your head.  He knows every cell, every molecule, and every atom of your body.  He knows all of your memories.  Whether your body turns to dust or ashes, whether your ashes are sprinkled over the Niagara Falls or you died lost and alone in the Amazon, God knows.  He has power to bring you to life again.  He can recreate you new, fresh, and alive without any marks of sin.

18.  What is the final end of death?
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”  Revelation 20:14
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”  1 Corinthians 15:26
