Part 4:  Faith
9.  What are we saved through?
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.”  Galatians 2:16-17
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”  Ephesians 2:8  (For further study see Romans 3:28, Galatians 3:11,24)

10.  What is faith?
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Hebrews 11:1

Note:  God does not expect you to believe something for which there is no evidence.  Faith is not blind.  Look at His marvolous works.  Listen to His word.  Open your heart and mind to the Holy Spirit.  “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”  Isaiah 1:18

11.  How powerful is faith?
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”  Matthew 17:20 (For further study see Luke 17:6)

12.  How much will salvation cost me?
“And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification*.”  Romans 5:16
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:23  (For further study see Romans 3:20)
