Part 2:  When is the Sabbath?

5.  What day of the week is the Sabbath?
“For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.”  Hebrews 4:4
“Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.”  Exodus 31:15  (For further study see Exodus 35:2.)

Note:  Did you notice the word “the” in these verses?  It is not just any day out of the week.  It is a very specific day.  If you chose any day to worship, you would loose the promised blessing.  There is always a blessing any time you worship, but a special blessing is promised to those who especially keep the seventh day Sabbath.

6.  When does the Sabbath begin and end?
“And the evening and the morning were the first…second…third…ect day.”  Genesis 1:5,8,13,19,23,31  (For further study see Leviticus 23:32.)

Note:  The days God created at creation began and ended at sundown.  Today we keep Roman time which begins and ends at midnight.  Roman time is difficult to keep if one does not own a watch.  God knew this and gave us signs in the heavens to help us keep time.
