Part 7: Conclusion
My dear friend,
I use to believe I was missing out by keeping the Sabbath. When I was a kid, it was saturday morning cartoons. As an adult, it was baby showers and weddings. I knew it was right and kept it out of a feeling of obligation. It wasn’t until I surrendered these things to God that I understood what God meant by “blessings” and “rest.” There is something special about the Sabbath. It is difficult to explain. It is a feeling of being close to God and Heaven. When you surrender all your cares, all your worries, all those things you could be doing, and keep the Sabbath out of love and honor for God then you will understand. There is nothing we could sacrifice that would ever compare to the sacrifice Christ made for us. “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalms 34:8
