Part 1:  The Sin Problem
1.  What is sin?
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”  1 John 3:4  (For further study see 1 John 5:17)

2.  What is the penalty for sin?
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:23  (For further study see Romans 5:12)

3.  How many have sinned?
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  Romans 3:23
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”  Romans 5:12

4.  Is it possible for us to overcome sin through our own power?
“Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.”  Jeremiah 13:23
